Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to conduct parading procedures for greyhounds prior to the start of greyhound races.The unit applies to race meeting staff assisting in the conduct of race meetings in work environments including racing kennels, racecourses and public areas.All work must be carried out to comply with workplace procedures, in accordance with applicable state/territory animal welfare and workplace health and safety legislative requirements.Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit. Check with the relevant controlling body or Principal Racing Authority (PRA) for current requirements. | ||
